JOSHUA & CHICHI LUNGU & FAMILY

Pastor Willem Agenbag has been the Senior Pastor of Mowbray Baptist Church since the 1st of March 2016 . He started as Associate Pastor of Claremont Baptist Church on 2 January 2003 until beginning at Stirling Baptist Church in East London on 1 March 2009 as Pastoral Care and Family Ministries Pastor.

 

As Senior Pastor he is responsible for  preaching and teaching and pastoral counseling as well as overseeing all ministries. He also lectures Pastoral Counselling and Biblical Peacemaking part- time at the Cape Town Baptist Seminary.

 

As a native of Namaqualand he grew up in Okiep, a copper mining village in the Northern Cape and has lived most of his life in Cape Town.

 

Willem is  a family man and is married to Lisa and they have two grown daughters Christy and Nikki, and a grandson, Felix

 

Willem loves the outdoors, hiking on Table Mountain, mountain biking, gardening and hunting . 

Joshua was recently inducted as Associate Pastor at Mowbray Baptist Church after having served in a number of roles since 2021. He has been a caretaker, part of the worship team, had eldership responsibilities, teaching and preaching God’s word, and leading a Bible Study.
Prior to that Joshua had served as a student Pastor at Mowbray Baptist Church from 2009 to 2016. He was then called to plant a Reformed Baptist Church, in Kasama town, in Zambia where he served until 2021. It was on his return to Cape Town to study Master of Theology in New Testament at George Whitefield College that he came back to Mowbray Baptist Church from 5 April 2021, where he has fulfilled a caretaker and elder role.
Joshua is always grateful to God, the church leadership, and the church at large, for this wonderful opportunity and privilege to serve in God’s vineyard.
Joshua & his family are originally, from Zambia. Married to his lovely wife Nchimunya (fondly known as Chichi) and they have two sons; Joshua Junior and then Micah. Nchimunya works for Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Joshua Junior is in grade two at Grace Primary School, in Pinelands, while Micah is at Peakview Pre-Primary School.
